Description of a private tour

We board in Kotor and start a miraculous ride to the Blue cave.

Situated on the Luštica Peninsula, just beyond the Bay of Kotor – the Blue Cave, also known as the Blue Grotto, shines with an extraordinary blue shade. This natural cave is created at the bottom of a 100-meter cliff as a result of the impact of sea waves on porous rocks of the Luštica Peninsula over thousands of years.

The shade is a result of the sunrays entering the cave through an underwater opening and reflecting off the limestone walls. Here you can enjoy swimming and taking photos in the phenomenal atmosphere that is out of this world.

Inside Blue Cave
Mamula Island

After exploring the enchanting Blue Cave, we will take you on a panoramic tour of Mamula island. The fortress located on this island was a concentration camp during World War II. This view will at the same time overshadow you with its natural beauty but also freeze the blood in your veins because of it’s history – about which you can hear more from our captains during the ride. 😊

Submarine Tunnels

The next stop are three most impressive Submarine Tunnels which were built by the Yugoslav Army. These tunnels were built for submarines and small ships. The entrance has a distinctive construction covered with fake stones designed to make the place invisible to satellites or spy planes.

For the end of our adventure, we leave the sweetest part – a visit to Perast – a city with a very rich history and heritage, a city of legends, seafaring and famous
captains. Lady of the Rocks, which stands proudly in front of the Old Town of Perast, is oneof two charming islands located in the Bay of Kotor.

Perast
It is considered one of the main tourist attractions in this part of the Adriatic sea – because of the legend of its origin and unreal beauty.
Lady of Rocks

According to tradition, the Lady of Rocks was built at the place where the Moršić brothers found an image of the Mother of God. The citizens of Perast threw stones around the cliffs and built a small chapel. Later they continued to bring stones to the island, which made it grow bigger and bigger over time.

By the way, this custom of piling stones (known as Fašinada) around our Lady of Rocks has grown over time into a traditional ceremony that has been continuously held every July 22 for more than 500 years!
